The Beehive Apothecary
A November weekend with Rosemarie Bort
27-29 November 2026 | MalisGarten Green Spa Hotel | Zell am Ziller
A spoonful of honey in herbal tea, the scent of a beeswax candle: some treasures of the beehive are familiar comforts. Others we may know only from our grandparents' stories. What exactly are propolis, bee pollen and bee bread? And how can we use them in everyday life?
On Friday, 27 November, naturopath and author Rosemarie Bort introduces us to apitherapie, the use of bee products to support health and wellbeing. Drawing on her experience, she shares practical ideas to take home, with time for your questions along the way.
It's a subject close to our hearts at MalisGarten. Christina and Marie-Theres are enthusiastic beekeepers and apitherapists, and their 14 bee colonies live in the ZillerSeasons gardens. This year's honey was analysed by the laboratory at the Imst Beekeeping School, with top results for enzyme activity and cleanliness, alongside a low moisture content. Its flavour is just as pleasing: notes of dried fruit, a delicate acidity and hints of caramel.
The story of bees and blossoms continues over a three-course dinner from our Wilde Kräuterküche. Why not make a weekend of it, with fine food, a dip in the warm pool and leisurely hours in the Herbarium Spa?
Whether you stay for two nights or join us for the talk and dinner, we look forward to welcoming you.
Please note that the talk will be held in German.
Who this weekend is for
For anyone looking for fresh inspiration for a more mindful everyday life, who loves good food, soothing warmth and a litte peace and quiet. For those curious about honey and other treasures of the hive, who take pleasure in nature's small wonders.
If you like knowing where the good things on your plate come from, you'll feel at home here. Spend the weekend asking questions, savouring new flavours and letting us look after you, before the festive seasons fills your diary again. Between the talk and honey tasting, there's plenty of time for a dip in the warm garden pool and a little domething delicious from Eden Patisserie.
No prior knowledge needed. A weekend to enjoy on your own or with someone you love.
Please note that the talk will be held in German.
